People of Theatre Magazine - Summer 2025
An indie magazine where theatre and performance start real talk about life, society, and our communities. Switch off the scroll. Reclaim your brain with radical thinking and great theatre.
The mag is free. Just cover delivery.
This magazine was born out of necessity. A need to step away from toxic algorithms, celebrity culture, and five-star gatekeeping. I was tired of the same stories, told by the same voices. So I’ve built something different.
People of Theatreisn’t your typical theatre mag. It’s radical, independent, and fiercely community-rooted. It’s for anyone who believes theatre, dance and performance aren’t just entertainment. Theatre is protest, healing, joy, care, and resistance.
Inside, you’ll find voices that rarely get centre stage. Interviews with artists rewriting the rules, stories from grassroots projects around the world, and columns on intimacy, mental health, class, migration, culture, and radical joy.
No industry fluff. No toxic reviewing culture. Just honest stories that matter to us, told through the voices of theatre artists.
The mag is free. But if you’d like a copy sent to your door, just cover the delivery cost. That’s it.
Order your copy. Read it. Share it. Leave it on a bus seat. This magazine belongs to all of us.
Please support if you can:
You also have the option to pay the full value of the magazine to support the publication.
This magazine is a labour of love, and I’m proud to say that all the writers and the designer have been paid for their contributions.
The magazine is free, but the costs of producing it are high. If you’re able, please consider paying the full price to help keep this publication sustainable in the long term.
