Jeezus! A New Musical

Jeezus! A New Musical

Brixton House 8 - 12 October

Ever wondered what it would be like to fall for Jesus Christ? Jeezus! A New Musical follows Jesús, a Peruvian boy grappling with the pressures of masculinity in a Catholic family, who develops a deep, romantic connection with his best friend—Jesus Christ himself. This two-person comedy musical mixes cabaret and personal storytelling to poke fun at patriarchal norms while celebrating love and queerness. Expect laughs, music, and a bold political critique as Jesús tries to challenge the ultimate patriarch, all in the name of love.

Signal to Noise

Thu 10 Oct & Fri 11 Oct 2024

Southbank Centre

Signal to Noise is an upbeat spectacle that gradually unravels. It features fragmented AI-generated speech—ranging from random monologues to weather reports—all lip-synced by six performers.

The show blends human-like voices with off-topic conversations, questioning what’s real and what’s artificial. Alongside this, Etchells’ eclectic score combines various sounds, from xylophones to guitars, creating a strange yet captivating atmosphere. Celebrating Forced Entertainment’s 40th anniversary, the performance invites the audience to reflect on the oddities of human interaction.
